How to Restore Icons

If windows desktop is having problems displaying the correct icon, and shows a generic icon.

1. Remove the icon database.

 C:\Users\jfreier\AppData\Local\IconCache.db

I did not use this command, but the source said it would work.

 cmd /c del %userprofile%\AppData\Local\IconCache.db /a

2. Restart Explorer.

 a. Open task manager.
 b. Find explorer and shut down.
 c. In task manager, File -> Run -> explorer.exe

They should show up. :)
